Company Profiles: Organize Your Business Relationships
Company Profiles bring your business relationships into Keepsake. Create a profile for each organization you work with, link the people you know there, and see everything — tasks, notes, history — in one place. It's the same philosophy as Contact Profiles, but for organizations. Learn more about Company Profiles.
What is a Company Profile?
Create a company
Go to Contacts
Navigate to the Contacts section from the main menu. You'll see a tab for your companies.
Tap "+" to create
Enter the company name. That's all you need to start.
Add details
Fill in the company's website, email, phone number, and address. Everything is optional — add what's useful to you.
Tip
You can also add notes to the company profile using Markdown. These notes support @mentions and #tags, just like everywhere else in Keepsake.
Company info and quick actions
Quick actions
Tap the email, call, or SMS buttons to reach the company directly — just like on a contact profile.
About section
Use the "About" section to write notes about the company. This field supports Markdown formatting, @mentions, and #tags — perfect for keeping context about the relationship.
Tip
The About section is great for noting things like "Main client since 2024 — project renewal every January" or linking to related projects with #tags.
Link contacts to a company
Open the company profile
Navigate to the company you want to update.
Tap "+ Add person"
Search for an existing contact by name or email. Select them to link them to the company.
Add a role (optional)
You can specify the person's role at the company — "Sales Director", "HR Manager", etc. This appears next to their name on the company page.
Tip
A contact can belong to multiple companies. And when you view a contact's profile, you'll see which companies they're linked to — with a direct link to each company page. See Contact Profiles for more.
Tasks, notes, and history
Create tasks from the company page
Tap "+ Add task" to create a task directly linked to the company. You can also create tasks from anywhere and @mention the company.
See aggregated history
The History tab shows all entries and completed tasks — from the company itself and from all its linked contacts. This gives you a complete timeline of the relationship.
Quick Notes
Notes linked to any of the company's contacts appear here too. Everything is centralized on one page.
Tip
Before a meeting with a company, open their profile and scroll through the History tab. You'll have the full context of recent interactions with everyone in the organization.
@mention companies in your notes
Type @ in any text field
Start typing the company name. Companies appear in the suggestions alongside contacts — they're marked with a building icon.
Select the company
The note or task is now linked to the company profile. It will appear in the company's activity feed.
Tip
You can mix contact and company mentions in the same note: "Meeting with @Marie at @Synapse Technologies about the new contract." Both profiles will show this entry.
Find companies with global search
Press Cmd+K
Open the global search from anywhere in the app.
Type the company name
The search matches on name, email, website, and address. Companies appear with a building icon to distinguish them from contacts.
Tip
The search is accent-insensitive — typing "cafe" will find "Café de la Gare" too.
