Changes made elsewhere now reach your screen on their own.
•No more manual refresh : Edit a note on your phone while it sits open on your computer: the change appears by itself, within a minute or two. It works for your notes, tasks, contacts and entries — when you come back to a device, Keepsake quietly checks what changed elsewhere and brings the screen up to date.
•Your typing always wins : If you are in the middle of writing when a change arrives from another device, your text is left untouched. What you type takes priority.
The Transform menu now lives inside the open note.
•Transform from the note itself : Open a note and a “Transform” button now sits at the top: file it in your notes, make it a publication draft, a task, or a journal entry — right there, without going back to the Inbox. If you were writing, your text is saved before the transformation.
•A New note button in your Notes : The Notes view has its own “New note” button, like the Inbox. The note you create stays in your notes, without passing through the Inbox.
•No more automatic share card : Every note shared to your networks used to carry an automatically generated image, even when your words were enough on their own. Now only your own photos travel with the post — and if your note has none, the text goes out alone. Illustrated share cards are still there when you want one, by hand, after publishing.
•Substack Notes joins your networks : You can now publish your notes to Substack Notes, alongside X, Threads, Mastodon, Bluesky and LinkedIn. Connect Substack in Typefully, then enable it in your Keepsake settings.
•Readable task titles, even with a photo : Creating a task from the capture bar with the T+1 shortcut and a photo turned the title into a long unreadable code that overflowed your lists. The title now takes your text, while the photo and the rest go to the description — and a task made only of a photo is simply called “Photo note”.
•Your images no longer open by mistake : Dropping an image slightly beside the capture field made your browser open it full screen, taking you out of Keepsake. That is over: an image dropped near the target no longer leaves the app, and the whole capture bar accepts your images, not just the text field.
•Reliable favorite pages : A page's “favorite” star could look off while the page was sitting in your sidebar — the cause was two pages sharing the same name apart from one capital letter. Those can no longer be created, and your favorites always point to the right page.
•What you delete from your AI assistant really goes : A task or contact deleted from Claude (or through the API) stayed visible in the app. A deletion is now a deletion, wherever it comes from.
The photo button now reaches your library, several photos land in one note, and every editor accepts images.
•Pick from your photo library : The capture button used to only take a new photo. On mobile it now opens your phone's native chooser — take a photo, pick one from your library, or select several at once: they arrive together, in a single note, in the order you chose.
•A capture bar that breathes : On mobile, the photo button shows while the field is empty and gives way to the send button as you type — like your messaging apps. While photos upload, the bar says so; then it turns green to confirm the note was created.
•On desktop: a button, drag & drop, paste : A photo button in the quick capture bar opens the file picker and drops the images into the field, so you can add a caption before sending. Dragging or pasting one or several images works too.
•Images beyond notes : Journal entries, task descriptions, day notes, contact and company files, and page descriptions now accept images — with the same gestures everywhere.
The link that was missing between a task in your day and the rule that creates it.
•The ↻ mention is now a link : Open any occurrence of a recurring task and click its “↻ Every…” mention (or the ↻ icon): you jump straight to the recurrence settings — frequency, title, pause — wherever you are in Keepsake.
•Deleted stays deleted : A note created then deleted within the minute could stubbornly reappear — it was deleted, but an overcautious safety net kept bringing it back on screen. When you delete, it's deleted.
•Undo can no longer empty a note : Pressing undo past your own edits could blank the whole note, because loading its content counted as an undoable step. It doesn't anymore.
•Photo notes make clean tasks : Transforming a photo note into a task used a truncated image URL as the title. The title now takes the first line of text — or “Photo note” when there is none — and the photos follow in the task's description.
X was the only network not receiving the link to your note. That exception is gone.
•The link travels with the post : When you send a published note to your networks, X now carries the link to your Keepsake Page like every other network. It didn't before — a precaution against a reach penalty on links that X has since confirmed no longer exists. Your readers can finally click through.
•“Now” with X means two minutes : X doesn't allow instant publishing of a post containing a link, so a post going out immediately with X selected is scheduled two minutes later instead. Two minutes of waiting beat a missing link.
Three corrections where the app was misleading you rather than failing outright.
•Your newsletter's send time is finally accurate : The settings announced a daily send around 11 AM Paris time. Almost every part of that was wrong: the send is weekly, the hour shifts with the season, and “Paris time” means nothing if you live elsewhere. You now see the real sending window, in your own timezone — and when the email actually goes out if you added a delay.
•A note you create can't disappear : Splitting or duplicating a note did create it, but it could stay out of your list until you reloaded the page — just long enough to think you'd lost your work. It now stays visible from the moment it's created.
•The share window stops confusing your notes : After sending one note to your networks, the next note's share window claimed it was already publishing. Each note keeps its own state now.
Actions that had worked but didn't show it until you reloaded the page.
•Sending to your networks shows straight away : Sending a note to your social networks changed nothing on screen until you reloaded — easy to believe it hadn't gone out. The note now shows immediately that it was sent.
•The “published” status appears immediately : Same fix for publishing a note to your Page: the status now shows without waiting for a reload.
Like Tetris: your fixed times are walls, and flexible blocks flow around them — filling the gaps, never overlapping.
•New blocks fill the first gap that fits : Add a block and it slides into the earliest free slot big enough for it, instead of piling up at the end of your plan. On today's timeline, it lands from the current time — never in the past.
•Too big for the gap? It slides after : A flexible block that can't fit before your next fixed block docks right after it — no overlaps, ever. The free time left in between now shows on the timeline, with its duration.
•Your drop position is the instruction : Drag a block just after a fixed one and it stays there, following it if it moves. Drag it before, and it returns to the first free slot of the day.
•Resize a block, it finds its new spot : Grow a block past its slot and it re-places itself after the next fixed block; shrink it and it comes back to plug the hole — as long as you haven't moved it by hand.
The Today view gets a timeline: your day becomes a sequence of blocks you chain, rather than a grid of rigid schedules.
•Hours compute themselves : Set your wake time, stack your blocks with durations — and every hour derives automatically. Move a block and everything after it adjusts, live, while you drag.
•Your tasks get a time slot : The day's tasks live in their own block on the timeline. Create several slots — whatever isn't done in one carries over to the next, like migrating a bullet journal within the day.
•A beginning, an end, a now : Set a bed time and see the free time you have left. A thin red line marks the present moment, and a marker shows your next free slot.
•Tasks can carry a time : Give a task an optional time and duration: it anchors on the timeline at its hour. Clear the time and it returns to the tasks block.
Connect your WordPress site once, and any note can become a blog post — without copy-pasting.
•One-click connection : Enter your site's address in Settings; your site asks you to authorize “Keepsake” — no password to copy.
•Draft, publish, or schedule : A small window lets you adjust the title, pick your blog's categories (or create new ones), and choose: draft, publish now, or schedule for a date.
•Images included, updates too : Your photos are transferred to your site's media library. Rework the note later and the same button updates the post — never a duplicate.
Your best ideas come from rereading: this note reminds you of that one. Now you can keep the thread.
•Linked notes : A section below each note gathers everything connected. Link from there, select several notes at once in your archives, or paste a note's link right into the text.
•Tasks born from notes : Create tasks directly from a note — they inherit its projects and keep a visible link back. Check them off without ever leaving your note.

Faster, smoother, everywhere
A deep pass under the hood to make Keepsake start faster and feel instant — especially once your account holds years of history.
•Instant start, at any size : Your recent activity shows up right away while the full history loads quietly in the background. Startup stays fast no matter how long you've used Keepsake.
•A more responsive app : The journal, contact pages and lists render and update noticeably faster, and searching your contacts stays smooth even with hundreds of them.
•Everything responds instantly : Snoozing a task, pinning a note, editing — actions apply on screen immediately, with clear feedback if something goes wrong.
•Better offline : Reopen the app without a connection and you stay signed in, ready to capture. Everything syncs when you're back online.
Some notes belong to a date, not a person or a project. Now a note can be attached to one or more days and surface right when you need it.
•Type /date in plain language : "June 18", "tomorrow", "next Monday", "18/06" — Keepsake understands them all and shows the resolved date as you type. Or pick from a calendar. A date pill is added to the note.
•Find it in the Day view : The note appears in that day's view (and in Today when the day comes). Click the date pill to jump there. The note also stays in your inbox — nothing is hidden.
•Create a note straight from a day : Open a day, write your note, it's linked automatically. Perfect for preparing a meeting or gathering what's ahead. A note can live on more than one day.
Connecting your notes to tags, people and pages becomes a reflex — no mouse, no friction.
•Select a word, press # @ or [ : Your selection gets wrapped instead of replaced: "Project X" becomes #Project X#. The fastest way to turn existing words into tags, contacts or pages.
•Autocomplete with on-the-fly creation : Type #, @ or / and let autocomplete guide you — arrows to choose, Enter to confirm. No matching contact? Create it on the spot, without leaving your note.
•/tag, /people, /date in the slash menu : Three new slash commands open the linking autocomplete — handy on mobile and AZERTY keyboards. And the whole slash menu is now localized in French and English.
•Tags and mentions, highlighted : Your #tags, [[pages]] and @contacts are highlighted right in the editor, so you see your links at a glance.
When you look for a note, you don't always remember whether you archived it. Now you don't have to.
•One "Notes" category : Quick search (⌘K) now shows your notes and your archives in the same place. Archived ones carry a small "Archived" badge — no separate tab to think about.
Smoother, more reliable
A few fixes and refinements that make daily use cleaner.
•Editorial status in a menu : Your note's status (Draft, To review, Ready) now opens in a small menu — see every stage, go back, or step out of the flow at any time.
•Fixes : Tasks and entries no longer create twice; a task title updates immediately when you edit it; the create form shows correctly even when a section is collapsed.
Your notes can now move toward publication, at your own pace. A clear thread from draft to published post, visible at a glance.
•Four stages, a colored indicator : Draft → To review → Ready → ✦ Published. Each note in preparation carries a colored dot; one click moves it forward a stage.
•Filter by stage in the Notes view : Find your drafts, your notes to review, or the ones ready to publish in an instant. A "No status" filter gathers everything not meant for publication (recipes, credentials, references).
•The Inbox stays a triage space : No status on Inbox notes: you sort fast, act, move on. The pipeline lives in the Notes view, your workshop.
•More direct actions : From the Inbox, the "Transform" menu lets you move a note to publication draft, set several to draft at once, or delete directly. From the Notes view, add tags and contacts without opening the note.
Navigation that remembers where you came from
Going back puts you exactly where you were.
•Scroll position is restored : When you return to a list, you land on the exact spot you were viewing, not the top of the page.
•Back arrows return to the origin : The back button truly takes you where you came from, even after several detours.
The share modal that opens after publishing now offers four 1080×1920 images designed for the kind of your note. Photo, quote, or text: each kind has its own variants, designed for that format. In total, nine new designed cards join the Editorial that adapts to your Page theme.
•Photo posts: Polaroid, Full bleed, Magazine : Three distinct treatments for your image-led posts. Polaroid sets your photo in a white frame with a handwritten caption — for memories and travel. Full bleed stretches the photo across the entire canvas with a dark gradient for caption and signature — for the photo that speaks for itself. Magazine lays out an editorial cream composition, photo as inset, date kicker — for photos that want a frame, not a filter.
•Quote posts: Pullquote, Poster, Dark : Three ways to give your phrase room to breathe. Pullquote centers it on a cream background with a giant terracotta quote mark and an editorial italic — the magazine pull-quote effect. Poster projects it in large bold sans-serif with terracotta quote glyphs framing it — built to stop a scroll. Dark dresses your phrase in cream italic on a warm dark background — for evening reading.
•Text posts: Journal, Notecard, Night : Three approaches to long text. Journal centers your text in Fraunces serif on cream, italic signature — the private journal page. Notecard sets it in a cream paper card with a soft shadow, terracotta corner accent and a monogram in the footer — the pinned note. Night presents it in cream sans-serif on a warm dark background, accent bar, monogram — quiet evening reading. Body capped at 525 characters, word-aware truncation.
•Editorial stays in first position : It's the variant that adapts to your Page theme (colors, accent, typography), available for every kind of note. The 'I want my image to feel like part of my Page' choice, alongside the three Keepsake design propositions with their fixed terracotta palette.
•One gesture to share : Clicking an image downloads the PNG and automatically copies your post URL to your clipboard. You paste straight into your favorite network's composer. No second button needed for the link.
•Safe margins, free crop : All images at 1080×1920 (9:16, Instagram Story ratio), with safe margins designed to absorb platform crops. Square, 4:5, portrait — your title and signature stay visible.
Polish — share modal
A few adjustments that smooth out daily use of the modal.
•Auto-copy URL on image click : Before: clicking an image downloaded the PNG; you then had to click a second button to copy the link. Now: one gesture downloads the image AND copies the link. The 'Copied' visual feedback appears on the copy button to confirm.
•Hint text removed : The 'Vertical 1080×1920, safe margins, crop freely...' subtitle was removed under the images row. You don't need to know the mechanics to use the modal — you download and discover by pleasant surprise that the crop just works.
•Excerpt variant replaced by Journal : Excerpt — which combined title + first paragraph — has been removed. For text posts, the new Journal variant covers the same use case with a better typographic rhythm.
Your Keepsake Page is now both easier to share and easier to find. Publishing a post now opens a share window with your link, four social buttons, and four downloadable images. And search engines + AI assistants can finally read your work the way they need to — without you becoming a marketeer.
•A share window right after publishing : When you confirm a publication, a second modal opens immediately with everything to make your post circulate: a copy-to-clipboard link, four share buttons (X, Threads, Bluesky, LinkedIn) that open the native composers with your text prefilled, and four downloadable images. Nothing is posted automatically — you stay in control.
•Four vertical 1080×1920 images, themed to your page : Editorial, Quote, Photo, Excerpt. All use your Page's theme and accent. All have safe margins so you can crop freely for Instagram Story, Square, 4:5, or any other format without losing the title or signature. Click a preview, the PNG downloads.
•A share arrow on every post, public too : A small ↗ icon now sits next to each post on your public Page — visible to you AND to your visitors. One click opens the same modal. Your readers can share your work with the same care you do, no account needed.
•No OAuth, no dependency on social platforms : We use compose intents — plain URLs that open the native composer with your text and link prefilled. No account to connect, no permission to grant, nothing to revoke. Networks are billboards, not destinations.
Your Keepsake Page now has rich metadata, Markdown variants, and welcome mats for AI crawlers. No algorithm, no push — just the oldest, calmest mechanics of the web.
•Rich metadata and schema.org structured data : Every profile is tagged as a Person AND a Blog in search engines' eyes. Every post is a BlogPosting with author, date, word count, language, and a pointer to its Markdown source. Google and Bing now understand what you write and can rank it for the topics you cover.
•Markdown variants for AI assistants : Append .md to any URL. /@yourname.md returns your profile and recent notes as clean Markdown. /@yourname/slug.md returns a single post with YAML front-matter. This is what ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity can now read cleanly when they look you up.
•AI crawlers welcomed by name : Our robots.txt explicitly allows GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, PerplexityBot, CCBot, Applebot-Extended, MistralAI-User, and a dozen others. No ambiguity — they know they're allowed.
•/llms.txt — a single-page index written for AI : keepsake.place/llms.txt gives AI assistants a map of the site, the feeds, and the 200 most-recently-active creators. Follows the llmstxt.org convention.
•RSS and JSON Feed, auto-discoverable : /@yourname/rss.xml for classic feed readers, /@yourname/feed.json for modern tools. Both auto-discoverable from the HTML page. Your readers can subscribe without algorithmic distortion.
Bug fix — Daily tasks ordering
One user-reported fix we wanted to ship alongside the bigger release.
•Task reorders on Day views now always persist : A bug was dropping your reorderings whenever you switched views on a Day view (most visibly on 'tomorrow'). Root cause: the task-order column rejected IDs that weren't UUIDs — which happened as soon as a recurring task was in the list. Fixed at the database level (no data lost) plus added a defensive optimistic update so the UI is robust to any future persistence hiccup.
Your Keepsake Page can now collect email subscribers. Readers subscribe right under your bio, and a quiet letter goes out at the cadence you choose. You own your list and can export it anytime.
•A subscribe form on every Keepsake Page : Right under your bio: an italic line — "Subscribe to receive my posts:" — with an email field and a SUBSCRIBE button. The whole flow is double opt-in: visitors confirm by email before they're added to your list.
•You choose the cadence : Weekly digest (every Monday morning), daily (when you publish), or off. No publication on a period means no email is sent — your subscribers are never bothered with empty letters. Switch anytime; they don't see your settings.
•An immediate welcome with your three latest posts : Just after a new subscriber confirms, they receive a mini-digest with your three most recent posts. They start engaging with your work right away, without waiting for the next regular send.
•Photos appear inline in the letter : A post with one photo shows full-width. Two to four photos arrange in a 2-column grid. More than four shows the first four plus a "+N other photos →" link. Each thumbnail goes to the full post.
•Replies land in your contact email : When a subscriber clicks Reply, the response goes to the Contact email you've set on your page. Set one in Settings → Keepsake Page to actually have conversations. Your account email stays private.
•Native unsubscribe in Gmail and Yahoo : Modern email clients display a one-click Unsubscribe button right in the inbox header — no tricks, RFC 8058 compliant. A discreet link is also in every footer.
•Export your subscribers anytime : From Settings → Email letter, a button downloads your full list as a CSV file (email, status, subscribed_at, confirmed_at, last_sent_at). Open in Excel, import to ConvertKit, archive — your list is yours.
•During your Keepsake trial : Subscriptions are accepted from day one — your audience can start growing immediately. Letters are paused during the trial; the next scheduled letter goes out as soon as you upgrade.
Capture polish
Two small fixes that make daily use smoother.
•QuickNote saves on Enter, even on mobile : Pressing Enter on the mobile virtual keyboard now properly saves the QuickNote. The "Return" key also displays as "Send" / "Envoyer" — clearer about what it does.
•Photos visible in the welcome letter : A post with multiple photos previously showed only the first. Now all photos appear in a tidy grid in the email.
A full rebuild of the public profile page, with five author-level appearance settings.
•Three themes : Ivory (warm, light — the default), Paper (cool neutral), or Night (warm dark, not a pure inverse). Each theme is a complete color and typography system — pick the one that fits how you write.
•Four accents : Color the quote marks, hover states, and selection in Terre de Sienne, Prussian Blue, Sage Green, or Ink. One accent at a time. On the Night theme, Sage Green automatically lightens so it reads clearly on the dark background.
•Typography : Source Serif 4 for titles, body-when-serif, quotes, captions. IBM Plex Sans for the meta row and colophon. Drop cap optional (on by default). Italic surname, hairline dividers, old-style numerals — the details that make the page feel cared-for.
•Page language : Pick French or English for your public page, independent from your app language. Dates, kind labels (WRITING / QUOTE / PHOTOGRAPH), and the colophon localize to your choice.
•Opt-in Contact button : Add a contact email and a Contact button appears in your page header. Leave it empty to hide the button — nothing exposed unless you choose to.
Three note renderers, one rhythm
Every note is rendered according to its kind — photo, writing, or quote.
•Photo : Framed image on a soft background, italic caption underneath, the whole block clickable.
•Writing : Source Serif body at 19px with a max column width, optional drop cap on the first paragraph, a subtle read cue on hover.
•Quote : Large opening mark in your accent color, italic serif blockquote, hairline tail at the end.
•Navigation : Click anywhere on a note to open it — date, text, image, quote. Internal markdown links remain clickable. The date is also a permalink, matching how social media usually works.
•Relative times : Notes from the last 24 hours show "3 HOURS AGO" instead of a full date. Past that, the full date comes back. Month changes get a right-aligned indicator (04 — MMXXVI).
Settings reorganized
The Settings page is now laid out in five distinct islands for easier scanning.
•Five clear islands : Preferences (language, appearance, sound, notifications), Keepsake Page, Constellation, Integrations (API keys + Claude connection + Calendar feed grouped), and Subscription at the bottom. Notifications moved into Preferences. Integrations grouped into a single card.
Bug fix
One more polish item.
•Apostrophes stop turning into tags : Notes with multiple apostrophes ("l'approbation", "c'est") sometimes rendered chunks of your text inside purple tag pills, with #39; leaking through. Fixed.

Security hardening
A quiet round of under-the-hood improvements.
•Stronger auth on every API route : a dedicated audit flagged routes that trusted client-reported identity. All routes now validate a real session token before reading or writing your data — private notes, API keys, billing, admin access, everything.
•Safe note rendering : if you paste content with embedded HTML or scripts, it renders as plain text now instead of executing in your browser. Applies to QuickNotes, Notes, and your public page.
•Cleaner public page payload : your internal account name is no longer returned by the public profile API — your public page shows your chosen display name, or your @username as a fallback.
Performance
Keepsake should feel snappier.
•Lighter JavaScript bundle : the Stripe payment SDK no longer loads with the app — it's kept server-side where it belongs. Faster first load.
•Faster note lists : rendering long lists of notes is now much cheaper. The Markdown parser no longer re-runs on unrelated re-renders, and each note card skips re-rendering when its data hasn't changed.
•No more double fetch at login : the app used to fetch all your data twice on login. Now it fetches once.
Accessibility and polish
Small details that add up.
•Themed confirmation dialogs : every "Are you sure?" prompt (delete a note, remove a tag, sign out, revoke an API key…) now uses a consistent themed dialog with proper keyboard navigation (Tab stays trapped, Escape closes).
•Better password manager support : login, signup, and password-change forms now have the correct autocomplete hints and form wrappers so your password manager reliably saves and fills credentials.
•Screen reader friendliness : toasts, modals, dialog titles, and notifications now announce themselves correctly. Modal close buttons have proper labels and 44×44 touch targets.
•Tags appear instantly : when you type <code>#tag#</code> inside a note, the tag pill now shows immediately without needing a refresh.
