Connect Typefully to publish to your social networks

When you publish a note on your Keepsake Page, you can also send it to your social networks — X, Threads, Mastodon, Bluesky and LinkedIn — through Typefully. Connect your Typefully account once, choose your networks, and each published note goes out as a post (illustrated with a Keepsake share card), either automatically or with one click. Posts land in your Typefully queue, so you can still edit before they go out.

Get your Typefully API key

Typefully connects with a personal API key. You create it once inside Typefully and paste it into Keepsake.
1

Open Typefully's API settings

In Typefully, go to Settings → API. You'll see an API Keys section. No Typefully account yet? Create one here first.

2

Create a new key

Click New API Key, give it a descriptive name (for example Keepsake), then click Create API Key.

3

Copy the key

Use Copy API key to clipboard on the new key. Keep it handy for the next step — you'll paste it into Keepsake.

Tip

Name the key “Keepsake” so you always know what it's for. You can revoke it anytime from the same screen in Typefully without affecting your other keys.

Connect it in Keepsake

The rest happens inside Keepsake, in your settings.
1

Open your social settings

Go to Settings → Social networks. You'll see a Typefully API key field.

2

Paste your key and connect

Paste the key you copied, then click Connect. Keepsake checks the key with Typefully and stores it encrypted — it's never shown again.

3

You're connected

The panel shows “Typefully account connected.” and reveals the publishing settings below.

Tip

Your key is stored encrypted and only used to create posts in your own Typefully account. Disconnecting from Keepsake removes it instantly.

Choose your networks and how posts go out

Once connected, you decide which networks to use and how each note is published.
1

Pick your Typefully social set

If your Typefully account has more than one social set (account group), choose which one to publish into.

2

Select your networks

Under Networks to publish to, tap each network you want — X, Threads, Mastodon, Bluesky, LinkedIn. Selected networks are highlighted. Only the networks connected to your social set in Typefully appear here.

3

Choose a send mode

Queue (next slot) schedules the post into your Typefully queue at the next free slot (you can still edit it). Draft creates an unscheduled draft you publish yourself. Publish now sends it right away.

4

Turn auto-publish on or off

On: every note you publish is sent to your networks automatically. Off: a “Publish to my networks” button appears in the “Published 🎉” window after each publish, so you choose case by case.

5

Illustrate your posts

Keep Illustrate on to attach a Keepsake share card (or, for a photo note, your original photos). Turn it off to send text only.

Tip

Start with auto-publish Off and Draft mode. You'll see exactly what each note becomes inside Typefully before anything goes public.

How your notes become posts

Keepsake adapts each note to each network automatically — you don't format anything.
1

A link back to your note

On every network except X, the post includes a link back to the note on your Keepsake Page, plus the share card.

2

X carries images, not a link

X blocks posts that contain a link, so on X the post never includes the link — it's illustrated instead (your original photos for a photo note, or the share card). Your handle stays visible on the card.

3

Long notes become threads

Short reflections post as a single message. If a note is longer than a network's limit, Keepsake splits it into a clean thread automatically.

4

Each note goes out once

A published note is sent to your networks only once, even if you re-publish it — no duplicates.

Tip

Want a different look? Download any of the share-card styles from the “Published 🎉” window and post it yourself — see Sharing your posts.
